Participating Artist Requirements

Thank you for joining the 2017 West Side Artists Studio Tour!
June 9th 4pm-10pm &
June 10th 10am-8pm

Please complete the list below in order to hold your place as a participant on the tour.
(When paying your fee you will be prompted to give the following list of promotional items.  Have them ready in a word document, and simply cut & paste the required items into the fields on the checkout page.)

Participation in Three Steps:
1.) Offer your $50 participation fee
2.) Fill out information gathering form
3.) Send images to Deb's email (info@ratcitystudios.com)

Written Content:
* FB or Instagram account name
* Email
* Website URL
* Short Bio: 3-5 sentences
* Short Artist Statement: 3-7 sentences

Image Specs:
1- Long horizontal format for the front page
1- Square image of you working
1- Square image of your current finished work
1- Square image of your current work in process

Join the West Side Artists Studio Tour!

Requirements for inclusion:
Each invited artist and host must be juried in by of all three founders-
Loren Lukens, Diane Culhane, & Deb Schwartzkopf.
This is based on craftsmanship, professional presence in the field, & your ability to help promote tour. Each Artist must have a excellent work, a regularly updated website, at least one active social media platform, and all artwork must be handmade by the artist. 

Participating Artists Will:
Pay $50 to the WSA for website/ promotional/ organizational costs
Give 15% of sales to their host (taken at central checkout)
Link to the WSA website on their personal website
Help promote the tour professionally on their social media platforms
Help promote the tour through your personal newsletter
Talk up the tour!

Receive inclusion in a well organized, juried artist studio tour
Receive placement on the WSA Website
Receive promotion on the WSA Instagram and FB
Receive promotion via the WSA printed card

Artists are asked to be present for the entire sale, both days
Professionally represent the tour in person and through promotional efforts
Maintain an excellent standard with in the work they choose to sell

Hosts Will:
Invite at least two artists to participate at each stop on the tour
Be Within the tour boundaries:
West of Hwy 99/509 and North of Hwy 518
West Seattle, White Center, Burien

Coordinate with invited artists to offer promotional materials
Coordinate with invited artists to set up the space for the tour

Studio host provides refreshments: Such as - Veggie tray dip. cookie
tray, chex mix finger food, BBQ pork, (finger foods of choice) wine, water, juice/ soda.

Hosts help with lighting, display materials, have an accessible bathroom

Hosts will be the central cashier
Hosts will pay artists within two weeks after the finish of the tour
Honorably promote all the stops to the betterment of the whole tour
Take on one major part of organizing the tour
Hold the same hours as the other stops
Promote with West Side Artist Logo signs
Provide significant signage and a large cluster of red balloons
Promote on personal newsletter and social media avenues and website
Collect visitors emails during the event for the West Side Artist's mailing list
