Inspired by outsider artists who create by intuition, Steffanie's paintings are multi-layered, complex, and inviting. Her multi-layered process engages the viewer’s own sense of meaning and exploration. Through layers of paint that both conceal and reveal, she creates visual poems that invite viewers to enter the space between what was and what will be. The result is a celebration of random synchronicities that pay tribute to both the artist’s and the viewer’s imagination.
